I would use the Always super long thin pads I would change my pad at lunch because I had more time to do so but if I couldn't make it at lunch, I would ask a teacher for a bathroom break (just make sure you don't always ask the same teacher).

all girls at school have periods, or most of them. it will get really yucky if you dont change it in the middle of the day. going to the bathroom isnt that bad at school, i used to think that, but if you go at a good time, it is sorta nice to get away from the babbling teachers. try to go before class starts or at a time where no one else would be in the bathroom, so it wouldn't be so akward or uncomfortable when changing it, becuase it tends to be noisy. (sorry for the disturbing details...haha) anyway, just use a maxi pad with a scent, that should be enough to hold you over until lunch or so. carry a purse if you dont already and just keep a stash of pads. it is good to have even when you dont have your period, so if it catches you off gaurd, you are ready to go and not stuck in the middle of nowhere with no pads, so it isn't a bad idea to start.

Try using the overnight pads - they're meant to last for the lengthy 8 hours of sleep at night. However, you should still change your pad at least once at school. Since pads are worn outside of your body the oxygen releases the odor of the blood into the air causing a stench. You might like to try wearing a tampon with a pad or just using a menstrual cup. Best of luck!

I agree...the overnight ones with the wings are the best. I like to use Always. HOWEVER, you should not be going 6-8 hours without changing your pad. That can lead to a host of other problems that you do not want to deal with. I know it can be a little embrassing and what not, but it's better to change a pad than to have a yeast infection.

There are different pads that can serve your purpose, pads with wings & ones that have a scent, but I wouldn't recommend not changing your pad. It would start to feel pretty uncomfortable having the same pad on for that many hours.

you should change a pad every 2 hours...they will get really funky if you don't..and it's really unhygenic

try using tampons..they are more discreet (and you can leave them in for up to 8hrs...but try to change them every 4 or so)

I use always overnight which are longer and have wings and provide front to back coverage for longer wear
