Yes,

and it is also a sign that the Republicans, who lost seats in 2006, are clearly worried about 2008, so I suspect, to their credit, they had as much to do with it! At least some of the higher power ones!

Though it has been the Senate hears, which would have never been held if the Republicans were still in power, that really tripped Gonzales up!

No, it's more a sign of what is to come if the democrats take control in 08. The current democrats in power in Congress & the Senate do not think there is anything wrong with the backstabbing, under-the-table politics that were so popular when they were younger & first running for office. So they have brought dirty politics to the forefront yet again. Plus if they were truly doing their 'jobs', they would not have the lowest approval rating ever.

Rats are always the first off a sinking ship. GW is tied to his steering wheel.

Face it, Democrats and Republicans sing the same tune and dance for the same Masters once they are in "power". Neither party has many differences from the other any longer. It matters not who rules, rats still behave the same way.

No. They are not doing what they are being paid for. The Dems have been successful at back-stabbing and that is all.
