I remember it being on TV and thinking, "What the hell?"
Am I alone?
Can anyone explain it?

Famous, wealthy starlet sick of being in the limelight somehow manages to get away from all the glitz and glamour and slum it with bespectacled dude living in modest loft apartment. Because he has no idea who she is, he helps her to momentarily forget her famous persona and be herself .. let her hair down, dance etc.

EVentually she returns to her glitzy lifestyle, and eventually he realises how famous and wealthy she is, but both she and dude never forget the wonderful time they spent together. Her wonderful scent is all that he has to remind him of her - that scent is Chanel No5.

Sure its cheesy but i actually like that advert!!

It's gobbledygook masquerading as art. I bet even the person who conceived it could not tell you what it was about other than a random set of images derivative of a million films; high class famous woman/movie star unhappy and closeted, loved by everyone but desiring the love of one man, breaks out to find one man who does not know who she is only for her to true love. She returns to life of misery made all the better for the love that she has.

Yawn!

And I think Nicole is beautiful but lawdy miss maudie, chuck another prawn on the barbie for her would ya!

She is special, belongs to every one but she is also her own person. She lives the high life but can be down to earth with the ordinary man.
She goes back to her high class world but remembers the ordinary moment she shared.
Therefore Chanel covers all persona's, perfume for everyone....allegedly!
