At least this is what my doctor told me after I had my daughter. He said use protection EVERY time because I am really fertile. Why is this? After I had my son (11 weeks ago), I never went in to see my doc at the 6 week check up because we moved when he was 5 weeks and I don't have a new doc yet. I breastfed for 9 weeks and am just waiting on my period. I'm a little nervous as me and my husband had an "accident." Well I should say HE had the accident and I told him we can never let that happen again. Well, it happened again gosh darn it!
So obviously, we are using pull out method right now as I haven't been to the doc yet and I am allergic to the lubricant on condoms.
I'm nauseous, have had headaches for the last couple of days, breasts are slightly tender, I'm STARVING, and although I've started a workout routine of running 1/2 hour for 3 days a week, I have gained 2 pounds! Do you think these could be symptoms on my impending period or do you think I could be pregnant?

Well, they are symptoms of both pregnancy and periods, so the only way to find out is to wait and see if you start turning HPTs positive.

I think that looking on pregnancy from the development of the human race, it is probably easier to get pregnant just after having a baby because before hospitals and medical equipment was readily available, a lot of babies died, so the only way to ensure the survival of the human race was to let women get pregnant again quickly...I don't know, that's just my own theory...

well being that you have a child already im guessing that you are aware that pre-ejaculation can get you pregnant even if he pulls out. the withdrawal method is not very reliable and if i were you i might not have use it since the doctor said you were extra fertile. it is a possibly you could be pregnant especially because you haven't gotten your period. it would be hard to say though because your body goes through so many changes as it is to try to get back to "normal" after having a baby. try taking a pregnancy test if you are that concerned. im not sure how accurate that would be since you just had a baby and i don't know how long it takes for your hormone levels to go back to normal. did you doctor say how long it takes for your period to at least start? hopefully you find some answers, whether by a pt test or ur visit to the docs and i hope it's the outcome you are looking for. just be "careful." and best wishes.

Well, I'm no expert or anything, but i think that there may be a slight chance that you could be pregnant again. If your body is experiencing the same motions as it did when you were pregnant before than you might be expecting. If you're still not sure go to a doctor or a clinic for women. That's the best advice I can give.

Well, i don't know that the information you were given is 100% true. Everyone is different and it really depends on different factors. Are you breastfeeding, because that tends to hold off ovulation (though that's not a good form of birth control, because you don't know when you're going to ovulate again) I say REALLY make sure it doesn't happen again. The only thing you can do now is wait.

Have you tried lamb skin condoms. Less people have allegries to them!

My doctor said the same thing, we got pregnant again when my son was almost 4 months old (not an accident, though). I guess maybe it is the hormonal changes our bodies are going through. I am sure your new doctor will be able to answer this question better. Good luck.

Because all of the stuff that normally builds up in a woman's insides over time are NOT there right after birth. Theyve all been "washed" away with birth-ovarian cysts for instance. You May be pregnant but it may also just eb your body getting back to its regular rythms after stoppign nursing. Your cycles may change too now.

I didn't know you were more fertile. I've always breastfed and usually pump as well so I was under the impression that it was a lot harder to get pregnant when you you're breastfeeding. Symptoms could be both!

I agree with Jessie . . . wake up!

As an adult, you will provide poor character training for your (ever-increasing) children if you can't figure out how not to have them . . . it's fairly easy to find condoms without allergy-producing lubricants, easy to use barrier methods of birth control while you nurse, and so on.

People like you say their kids "can't help" stealing or fighting, and just weep when they have car accidents as teens . . . why can't some people just GROW UP?
