perhaps it is related to the interest in forming north america trade union ? if canada , mexico and america become united that gives us a boost ?

Enough Americans still understand that wealth is created by entrepreneurs, not governments, and leave them unshackled. America encourages people to take risks in business and lets them keep the rewards for doing this. Most EU countries don't, and the EU keeps adding regulations to suppress innovation. When you look at the great inventions of the modern world, they were almost exclusively brought to market by American and Japanese companies. There are no European companies that manufacture computers. Bankruptcy laws in Europe basically prohibit someone from trying to launch a business if his first attempt fails.

Since the EU is pretty much a myth and a mis nomer, you can't really lump them in the union yet. So, no it won't.
