I don't know much about this job opportunity, but I was wondering how long I would have to go to school and what classes to take to become an X-Ray Technician. Thanks in advance!

P.S. I certain term keeps coming up when I research this field "LMR" and it says that you can get this certification within 9 months. What is an "LMR" exactly?

To become a registered radiologic technologist, school is generally 40 hours per week for 2 years. You would take classes like anatomy and physiology, physics, and radiation protection, just to name a few.

LMR is a limited tech, which is just that - limited. You would not be able to do everything that an ARRT-registered rad tech could do, which would limit your job possibilities.

You can find accredited schools here: http://jrcert.org/cert/Search.jsp (choose Radiography and your state and search)
