My room has white walls, 3 windows with wood around, an antique desk and antique drawer, white carpeting, and a mirror on one wall. I have a few small holes in the walls because of pictures. I drew on the walls because i was going to paint different designs, but i decided not to. I want to spice up my room so it makes it easier to live in. What should I add? My sheets are spirograhs (light blue, lime green, light and dark pink with a white background) and the comforter is dark blue one side and light blue the other. What should i do?

With all due respect what any of us offer here will be personal opinions.

You might either patch the holes or cover them again with more hanging pieces. Colors, etc. are as much a personal choice as religion and politics.

To begin if it was MY room, I'd probably want it to include those items most important to me. As you say easier to live in. It might be that CLUTTER won't work, and without knowing at all, how much time you spend in your sanctuary you may want to surround yourself with things, etc. that make you feel most comfortable, feel inviting, and give you a sense of it being your very special place.

Obviously we all have varying "tastes" and what what works for me, might not, for you. One good bit of news is that tastes change; sometimes often; and in that context you might assume that not much need be permanent. THINGS and Colors need not be kept forever either. You can do wild to mild, static and plain, to animated and frenetic.

The better part of decorating is in the exploration; the TRYING of different colors/things/ etc. until you find what works for you.

Since you have holes in teh walls already from hanging things, go to the fabric store and see if you can find a pattern or color you like and frame pieces of it,

You can also use an interesting piece of fabric to cover several layers of card board or cork board and use it to pin up pictures of things you like, family, pets, friends, notes and such.

See if you can find an interesting area rug or throw rug to break up part of the white on the carpet. (easier to keep clean than white carpet too ;)

You could find a wrapping paper or tissue paper that you liked and matched the rest of your items and frame several pieces of the paper. Do a variety of sizes, paint the frames a fun color, and create a pattern with them on one wall to make a bold statement. Its cheap and easy to do.
