The real comedy gem of my day was Bush crying in his corn flakes that the motivation for disliking Gonzales was political... LOL sort of like Gonzales' firing of those justice dept officials.

America akbar
What revisionist history are you talking about
Nixon authorized a burglary (a felony) and tried to cover it up.

If you want to compare that to Marc Rich who's crime was dealing in oil futures with Iran, then you'll have to re-indict Reagan/North they sold the enemy weapons!!! and were given a pass by the republicans!!!

At least marc rich was exiled from the country for many many years
While North and Reagan's crime were passed over and they kept their homes and familys.

Revise that!

i'd quite call myself a conservative than a republican. yet so a great way as having somebody tell me that i'd desire to leave my liked us of a of america because of the fact i do unlike Obama is like asserting if i'm not waiting to transform to Communism i'm not a real American. Are you basically slightly gummy interior the think of tank? once I see our elected officers take the oath of place of work and say that they swore to guard the shape then circulate to artwork attempting to discover techniques of amending it to extra healthful their secular progressive time table you could guess it isn't the conservatives or people who somewhat have faith interior the shape that would desire to be packing their bags. that's time for all of our human beings no count what their political association to start up pulling at the same time and protecting us of a of america. we've a clean president he too would desire to be supported. he's the single which we've elected as our President and Commander and chief. There are some people who have faith that he needs to alter the way he's premier our great us of a yet as long as he's president and maintains to take delight for the place of work that he holds and protects us he would desire to acquire the prospect to end his term. we are able to start up cleansing homestead in 2010 and look after any left over rubbish 2012. If needed by 2012, if we come across that the author of this question has not desperate to alter right into a real American i'm particular that we are able to pull at the same time and get him that one way value ticket out of the country that he's so desirously searching for.

No, Bush's speech just reminded me that he is a clueless, moronic cowboy who can barely speak English!

Nixon was impeached you poor history scholar! He resigned before he could be convicted by Congress. If the had been tried, I assure you he would have been convicted. He was pardoned by Gerald Ford for his crimes which pissed off so many people that the weakling, Jimmy Carter was elected president.

So in a way, we have Nixon to blame for Carter being elected president!

No.

Please, tell me again what Gonzales did wrong. If I understand things right, he fired 8 DoJ lawyers who serve at the president's pleasure. Was there something more to it than that? Was there some law broken firing these lawyers? And if so, was Clinton so much more guilty for firing 400 of them for purely political reasons?

Please, I'm really confused over this. It just seems to me to be another do nothing democratic witch hunt. (Approval rating now at 17% and dropping.)

Absolutely.... Bush is now comfortable using the term "partisan issue"....

In otherwise, Gonzales was the victim of angry Dems, not his own behavior.

I'm confused ... Bush didn't denounce Gonzales ... he (as obtuse as it may be) denounced the senate for going on a 'witch hunt'

and, as usual, Bush nor Gonzales took any responsibility and blamed everyone else

Actually he reminded me more of Kruschev banging his shoe on the table like the spoiled little facist he was.

No, just you... and of course the attack on Gonzalez was politically motivated. You'd have to be quite simple minded not to agree.

You are allowed to have your own revisionist view of history. Remind me. What crime was Nixon convicted of again? Perjury? Obstruction? Was he disbarred or impeached?
