Society has taught women to expect these things. If you can find a good, practical woman who does not buy into these social stereotypes, then give me her number, I would love to talk. LOL! It's the cold, hard truth. Women are just that way.

I think jewelry is a dumb idea for those things actually lol. I also think Valentine's Day is a completly commercialized holiday to get people to spend money. I would rather just go on a picnic. A card is ok, and store bought flowers are a waste of money. They just die anyhow. I would rather have my guy go pick some wild flowers for me or something like that.

Beats me! I don't want jewelry or a card, but I'd like to have a nice romantic meal together (hey, I'll even pay if my hubby just wants to spend a nice evening with me). Maybe a bubble bath and some naughty fun that's a little out of the ordinary.

Well, it's more like they want to be able to wear something so they can bring around with them and think about the person that gave it to them every time they look at it. I'm fine with just a nice card, I wish my boyfriend would get that, he gets me presents but never a card! Geez! Yeah, but jewelry is personal and sweet, or something like that.

Plan an entire day for the two certainly one of you from start to end. Take her out for a great brunch or make breakfast in mattress. Then take her out paying for or to the park or zoo or something the two certainly one of you opt to do at the same time. Have a picnic, fly kites, take an afternoon out to a distinctive city. That night prepare dinner and beautify your place like a snug romantic eating place or take her someplace fancy. end the night cuddled by the fire with an entire physique rubdown.

I love lingerie for Valentine's Day. I guess I could just take a card but at least some flowers along with it. Nothing big, grocery store flowers will work for me.

Well it's usaully a social ladder thing. You know those women who show off that rock on thier finger to thier friends... If you find a girl that likes jewlery and still see's that it's just not "BLING BLING" and it's a gift from your heart then your fine. Just don't get some bimbo that will be angry at you because that piece of jewlery you bought for her has one diamond in it instead of two..

Sure, my husband always gets me nice cards for most holidays. I appreciate it and I think that gifts should be bought for our children. I can't see spending money on us because we have a limited income and one daughter in college. Material gifts are meaningless and our relationship is truly what matters. Good luck. 2D

a card?! what are you kidding? comon man a girl has to know that you aren't a bum or something. She has to know that you can support her and her children too. She needs to have someone with stability and a future, that's what wemen want.
