alright my teacher was doing like a question for fun in class. obviously the question was what is the meaning of life. she also said that if we were to get on myspace or whatver to see what hundreds of people would say. so, what is the meaning of life to you. mine would prbly be friends and family.

I do not think life has a real meaning. Some life forms die and others do not. Some just divide. The ones that are left today obviously through some lucky codeing live by actually trying to stay alive. It would be over presumtuous to assume all life has tried to surive since the begining. Not all forms have a motive. So I would say life is a lucky result of chemical compounds and we are smart enough to think about what it could mean. So the meaning of life for humans is whatever the particular human percieves it to be. Meanings arent part of the universe remember they are just tools to help us organize and classify our enironment. In that way we are liberated from a definate conclusion.

Life should be a purposeful,happy,(as far as possible)journey to a very, distant,long away, destination.On this hyperthetical journey, you will meet,and sometimes interact,with people who are in a worse off state of life, than you are.For example,if they are walking barefoot because they have no shoes at all,and you know that, at home, you have spare prs. of shoes not needed,please give that poor person a pair.He/she will be so grateful that someone, in this, often uncaring,material-oriented,world we have to live in, cares for another human being!You will be pleasantly surprised to discover how rewarding it is to just reach out, and help someone in real need.Your life will,after repeating this act of self- sacrifice in terms of time, and maybe a little money, and effort,(now and then)will be enriched, to the point, where every day becomes a new adventure,as you wonder who you might encounter today,whom you may be able to assist in uplifting, from whatever unfortunate position,or circumstances, they may be in!!Then, you will really be enjoying your,(greatly self--enhanced,thru your good efforts) beautiful,journey through this life,we all go through.Wishing you everything of the best, whilst you savour this meaningful ride of your life!!(In my thoughts,and actions,i"ll be striving to travel with you.Together,we"ll have a wonderful trip!!Yes!) Commonsense really. We are the same substance as everything else on the planet, all made of protein and carbohydrates. We and they live to die. Its inevitable so we are to breed and multiply as much as possible so that your family gene has a chance of being better than passed genes. If there is no meaning you and I would not be giving and receiving answers. Our ancestors put us here today and probably didn't even realize was in the future and who would be born. Life is the meaning of life. Through my mother and father there several generations alive and still putting them out, if my parents had not of breed all would not exist.

The question "what is the meaning of life?" is asking why we came to exist. Not "how" but "why". "Why questions" require an intelligence. So your question requires a Creator of our existence. Only to our Creator can we ask "why did you bring me into existence?".
We can't create or invent our own "meaning of life" because we didn't bring ourselves into existence. Your answer of "friends and family" are not connected with why you came into existence but merely things that make you feel good.

all my family is like hard out christian and they think thats its like 'to bring glory to god' or some rubbish like that. i wouldnt agree but im just not sure aye......
