First of all, I want to say Michael Vick should be punished for his actions, I don't condone any illegal acts that he was involved with!!! NOW.....
The house that Michael Vick owned, got raided for drugs and they stummbled into the "Bad Newz Kennel" Operation. Do you think that the United States Government is actually concerned about dogfighting or do you think there might be more to this story that we don't know about!?
I personally think that they are using Michael to get to the "ring leader" of the drugs, not the dogfighting.
Does anyone have the same opinion or am I going to get the same, "Michael Vick is a killer, he should be banned from the NFL and sent to prison for life answers?"

Irvin_Cowboy? Are you serious? Michael Vick is a thug? This is coming from a Michael Irvin fan? What the...
That's the biggest double standard I have ever heard.
I wish people would just be honest and say, "I don't like so and so" and not make up ridiculous statements about someone to try and cover up the fact that they just don't like someone and will always be against that person.

I agree with what you're saying; however, I also think that this wouldn't have been as big of a deal if Vick weren't famous.

I think vick is a thug and I don't care what all they get him on as long as they get him and get him good! get him out of the NFL and throw him away! Second of all the falcons are going to do the same as any other year because vick never brought ANY talent to the team! He was an over rated running back at the best in his short NFL life!
Yes I am saying vick is a thug! I can not understand how anybody could support him! I bet his own momma hangs up on him on mothers day! lol for sure now the calls will be collect from a prison lol
I have said I do not care about the dogs. I just ate vick because he is a thug! I dont care what he did just as long as they get him on something to get him out of the NFL I could not care less what charge they use!

I think the U.S. Government actually cares about the dogfighting. Because it seems pretty pointless to start this entire investigation that's making headlines across the U.S. and probably a lot of other parts of the world just to cover up the real reason why you want him. Think about it, the "ring leader" as you call it is probably either related to Vick or extremely good friends with him. Don't you think he would hold off on the drug dealing and lay low for awhile when someone close to him (Vick) has been indicted and is being questioned daily?
If the government really wanted to catch the drug leader, they probably would've taken a much different approach to the whole situation. Because obviously the stuff this guy is dealing is valuable and expensive. Vick has the money to buy whatever drugs he wants, yet he kept what he had with him concealed in a water bottle in the airport because he wasn't ready to get rid of it, probably cost way too much to get a quick sample and then toss it.
My point is, if these drugs are really expensive, whoever is dealing them won't just get rid of them now that the government is questioning everyone close to Vick. He just has them secretly stashed. He probably paid a lot to get it, and now he wants to sell it for more than he bought it obviously.
If the U.S. wanted this guy, they woulda kept quiet and used a lot of undercover agents.
Speaking of undercover agents, they used a lot to prove Vick was organizing and placing bets on dogs. So they obviously really are into putting Vick behind bars for dogfighting.
I can see where you're coming from with this question. I just think the blind squrriel (raiders on Vick's property) found a nut (the kennel) when he was looking for the drugs.

I heard someone else mention this early and I agree. The feds don't care about dog fighting (sorry PETA members) but by bringing the charges against Vick they will force him to testify against the Drug dealers they were going after. Vick was caught bringing a little marijuana on to an airplane not to long ago so it doesn't surprise me that he would be involved in a drug ring or at least know the ring leaders. If some dealers get caught at least something good would come out of this situation.

Why would they need Vick to get to the drug ring leader?
Bring out the Gestapo!

Screw Vick, he knew that what he was involved in was wrong, immoral and illegal and he did it anyway. The guy was bad news in college. Remember he got caught with underage girls and carrying a concealed weapon when he was at VT. These atheletes think there above the law, just ask Kobe Bryant, and I'm a Laker fan for life!!!

Honestly, I doubt it. It seems counter productive to call all that attention to what your doing if your trying to find someone else. You'd just be alerting them to your presence and making them much more careful. Unless you're suggesting that Vick knows the ringleader. In that case I would imagine the ring leader to be his cousin anyway, so no.

Yeah you are on to something because he is going to be put through a series of interrogations. That would definately make sense that he is part of a drug arena. I am not saying he is actually guilty of drugs to but it would fit. It is a theory and if it is true we will here about it soon.

I think the government is very happy when they can get a conviction for ANYTHING, so they shifted the focus to the dogfighting and that's where it will end.

Since Vick was funding two criminal enterprises - dog-fighting and gambling, you can bet he was funding his cousin's drug sales too!
