Keep in mind that these are the same guys who want to spend a quarter of a million dollars on toilets that fly open without warning so that everyone can make sure you're not having sex in them.... these people are insane!
What's your take on this?

this is another one...
Basicly, Jim Naugle ( http://www.flushnaugle.com ) is the Republican Mayor of Fort Lauderdale who dreams of these dark hellish public restroom scenes...

Finally - the Zimbio site is wrong about his affiliation... HE IS NOT A DEMOCRAT.
Every Democratic politician in Florida has spoken out against him... if he claimed at any point to be a dem, nobody is buying it... He is supported by the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church and there is not a blue tie in the house...

I get really pissed off with these " Don't do as I do, do as I say" jackasses, and their hypocrisy! Republicans cast disparagement and guilty judgments on everyone else as if they are better than the rest of us. Then turn around and commit scandalous sex crimes like Mark Foley or abhorrent marriage misdeeds like Newt Gingrich. These are the same guys who wasted two years and 70 million dollars on Clinton's bad judgment and never are any wiser.

One theory holds that these politicians are puppets that are controlled through their vulnerabilities. You don't play, you get punished.
A more traditional approach says that those who strongly reject a specific part of their nature are more likely to flip into that dark behavior (the dark side).
In Seattle, the city government paid $250,000 per year for a single toilet that did open at random and embarrasing times. After a few years, these toilets were removed because they became a convenient place for crimes and drug trade.
How many toilet attendents could we have hired for $250,000 dollars per year.

It's just like everything else these SCUM BAGS stand for. whatever they say, whatever they try to pass, whatever they state publicly you can KNOW the opposite is true. if they say the sky is BLUE, you better believe the end of time is near because it is definitly some other color than blue now. It's like WMD's when there isn't any, OR Sadam is involved directly with the terrorist when he fought the terrorist the all the time he was in charge, OR we are spreading democracy all over the world when we occupy and control the countries we are supposed to be putting democracy into, or the Clean water act that takes away many of the controls that make water fit for us to drink, or we are going to help the Katrina victims when still 2 years later, New Orleans is still a mess, or on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and ..............

An announcer on a canadian university radio station said that she was getting tired of reading these reports and was only happy that the locations changed enough to give the reports a little bit of variety.

It's ironic that they won the key state of Ohio in the presidential race in '04 by putting a statewide anti-gay measure on the ballot and appealing to the bigotry of their 'base'.
In Ohio, poor and middle class people will vote GOP, which is against their own financial interests, because they are either bigots or intensely pro-life. Is it like this elsewhere?

I think this book review from the NYTimes helps address a bit of these issues.

It was closeted "tea room" gay sex so it is OK. If he was an out liberal, it would be an outrage.
This is a Christian man who just wanted to make an extra 20$ and engage in conservative closeted gay sex in a park bathroom. This is a witch hunt.
Now they are after Republican Senator Craig for trying to have gay sex with a police officer in an airport bathroom!

The same thing is true of the Democrats. Remember the New Jersey governor who resigned?
Unfortunately, neither party has the market cornered on sexual misconduct. I wish one or the other did; it would make voting so much easier.
