If you are in a competitive academic area and/or these classes are important for your major, then definitely retake. D's do not look good on a transcript.

Absolutely retake them if they are prerequisite courses to any that you need to take later on. Your lack of understanding of the subject matter will likely doom you in those later courses too. If that isn't the case, then you need to look at what difference it would make to you; it doesn't really sound like it would be worth it.

Well, I guess it would depend on which class you got the D in (if it pertains to your major) and where you plan to transfer and whether or not that school would accept the grade. I'm guessing you got the D in Logic, perhaps?

If these classes are important for the degree you want, I would definitely retake them.

If you think you can do better, then definitely do it. But if you wont have time to study and stuff then why bother?
