Well, Notepad doesn't user as much style information as word does (fonts, colors etc) So when pasting into word it may stall out or just not copy because of the amount of code copied with the text. If you just want the ext, you could view the source of the page (right click, view source) and copy the pure text. Or Just copy and paste from notepad to word. Hope that helps.

If you can paste into notepad, then you can paste into Word. (Just highlight the part of the webpage you want, then click yer Edit on the menu bar or, right click, and get Copy, and then go over and Paste, ... but you knew that ... right? Never failed, for me ... that I know of...)
Thing is, in Word, you may have to do the formatting yourself. You may end up with a long unbroken string of text which you then have to go break into paragraphs and headers and such, and you may not get the same fonts, and like that.
Also, you'll almost certainly not fetch the images...you'll have to fetch them separately, one by one (groan).
Another alternative that MIGHT work is right-click on the page and view page source and Save As to a local file on your computer and then open up that file in Word and, in Word, save the resulting file as a .doc file...but there again, you'll have to fetch some more stuff for the file, from the website, most likely.

Because some pages use a JavaScript to pretect their content from being copied. If you really want to copy the content just disable javascript on your browser

Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard, it creates a screen shot and you can paste it using CTRL+V (pasting) into a word document like that.

Some web designers disable that function to protect their information.
