I'd say, the figure of a ONE, the figure of a DECIMAL POiNT and the figure of a TWO would look like this - 1.2 --- and if you multiply that by five, you'll get 6.

Is that exactly how the question is phrased? Most people here are ignoring the "three figures" part. EVERYBODY TAKE NOTE: One figure is one number no matter how many decimals that number has. 1.20 is one figure, not three.

I think the question needs clarification. Can these three figures multiplied/added/substracted to each other before being multiplied by five??? I'll assume that is the case. And seeing that it's a "trick question", I'll take a guess and answer it this way. ANY three numbers that you can cause to equal 1.2 qualify. In other words, 0.9, 0.2, and 0.1 could be those three figures since (0.9 +0.2 +0.1) X 5 = 6. That would only be one of many possibilities.

As so many people have already pointed out the answer is 1.2. We find this out by dividing 6 by 5.

Well I guess this could be wrong, but I just divided 6 by 5 and I got 1.20.

1.20 x 5=6

Said three figures right so 6/5 is going to be 1.2 correct but it says three figures right. so you have to carry it out to another decimal place:
that gives you:
1.20 there's your three figures. now check your answer to make sure.
1.20
x5
------
6.00
so answer is correct since 6.00 = 6
