Well where is it written that your Dad needs to give you an allowance? You think he should just give you the money he had to go out & earn to you for nothing? Wouldn't that make him YOUR SLAVE?
He's trying to instill some practical values in you, & teach you a proper work ethic.
What should you do?
Cut the grass, & then say "thank you" to your father when he gives you your allowance.
My son has grown & left the house so now I have to work all day, AND come home & cut the grass.
Given a choice between working all day to support my family OR only having to cut the grass once or twice a week, I think you have the best part of the deal so quit your complaining & run for the lawnmower. :-)

Go get a job... earn money to pay your rent and food and then you can decide whether to not cut the grass or not. Until that time... you are governed by their rules so cut the grass and stop being a whinner. You aren't living in a ditch in India without food or water so get a grip on it.

Well, you could pretend you're a tenant, pay rent, and not have to cut the grass.
Oh, wait, you'd have to give up your allowance, too.
Consider it practice in case you manage to one day own a home and need to mow the lawn and have a son that whines about a little character-building work.

your father is teaching your responsibility and character. He could just as easily have you cut the grass for NO pay. We all have to do tasks we don't like but it is accepting those tasks that will make you a better person in the long run.

Oh, grow up. If you want an allowance then you have to earn it. If cutting the grass is not your thing then offer him an alternative.

We have to do things in life that we don't want to. It's called responsibilty. My daughter does chores. It's part of life. At least you get paid to do it so stop complaining and buck up and do it. Plus if you live in your parents house there are rules. Deal with it and look at the positive and not the negitive. Getting paid for a simple job is a blessing. Be mature about it.

You live in your father's house, you eat his food, he buys your clothes and provides you with everything you need - would it kill you to pitch in and mow the grass? I think not. Now get off the computer that your dad paid for and go mow the grass!

Why should he give you a place to sleep? Suck it up and be thankful for the opportunity to help your family. You should be more willing to help out and less focused on how crappy you feel about doing it.
Would you feel better if your dad decided to not go to work again just because it sucks?
