The simple answer is yes. There are certainly a lot of people that escape justice, one way or another, but that does not excuse those who are caught and proven guilty. Michael Vick knew what he was doing and the risks involved. He knew the consequences if he were caught, but chose to go ahead with an illegal and felonious business. The ultimate objective was to make money, illegal money that he could simply pocket and hide from the IRS and anyone else. This is called racketeering, which is a federal charge that he evaded by taking a plea agreement.
Dogfighting, by the way is not a common practice where I live. Those that are involved in dogfighting are also usually involved in other illegal ventures such as drugs and prostitution.
Vick will most likely avoid prosecution for a nymbver of offenses and is currently out on bond while awaiting sentencing.

Yes. He's a grown man who knew what he was doing was wrong. Just because dog fighting is common practice in urban areas does not make it right. Selling drugs and murder is common practice in urban areas too, should we not punish those who do those things? Vick did the crime, now he has to be a big boy and do the time. I say maybe 6 months to a year is long enough for him to do a lot of thinking.

Good point. We can't put every criminal behind bars, therefore we should let the ones we can put there go free. I can't imagine why, but I never looked at it like that.
While we're at it, rapists and child molesters don't actually kill anybody, and as you said, some murders go free, so maybe we should let the rapists and child molesters go free, too.

properly he hasn't been convicted of something yet, yet federal prosecuters have around a ninety 5% conviction fee. this is a sprint deceptive tho. A intense majority of the situations are settled formerly going to courtroom via fact the suspect accepts a plea good deal. The legal equipment is truthfully outfitted to objective to rigidity suspects to plea good deal via fact it saves the government and prosecuters time and funds. It additionally guarantees that the suspect will basically be in reformatory for a quick volume of time, while in the event that they have been to take it to courtroom, they're going to stand frequently 3 to 4 cases longer sentences. Theoretically everybody wins, whether it frequently cases will rigidity an harmless suspect into plea bargaining to ward off the probable longer sentences. in my opinion, Vick is in all probability loosely tied to this occasion. definite, it replaced into his assets. definite it replaced into his funds being spent to get the canines, and that i'm confident he wager on them. whether, he in all probability replaced into clever adequate to no longer quickly be linked with it so he ought to declare lack of expertise in this acceptable difficulty. His pals are going to take the fall for it, and he will in all probability plea good deal. He then might ought to pay the optimal effective, and he might even see a pair months of reformatory time. extra advantageous than probable he would be suspended from the league for as much as a season. I choose he have been going to reformatory tho via fact he truthfully merits it.

No, I do not think he should go to jail. They are just looking to make an example of someone. We (Most) eat meat and they are slaughtered. Deers, rabbits, pheasants, bear, etc are hunted and tortured. Not saying what was done isn't inhumane but this is something he could be fined for and get on with life...I've had house pets and missed them dearly when the one ran away and the other I had to give up because I moved but it I had to move on.

YES he should. Just because the system is flawed doesn't mean it is totally useless. Most of the other crimes mentioned SHOULD be sentenced to death!
