Nah. Seeing as how he died at 29, he was well past the Emo phase. Plus, there are too many pictures of him smiling.

Stop calling the older artists emo. Hank Sr. is not emo. I wish people would stop calling the bands from the 80's emo too. Dont call anything emo, just forget the word!

Hell no! Why would you say such a thing? Hank Williams is about one of the greatest artists that ever lived. Many of his songs are haunting and full of sorrow, yes, but that is country music...not emo.

PLEASE..do not call any music prior to 1995 as EMO...I am 32 years old...AND I HAVE BEEN TO WELL OVER 60 CONCERTS...EMO IS A PHRASE THAT HAS SHOWN UP IN THE LAST 7 YEARS...THERE MAY BE BANDS THAT ARE WILLING TO PIDGEON HOLE THEMSELVES INTO THIS GENRE...EMO FANS WANT FUGAZI TO BE ONE OF THEM...LET IT GO...THEY HATE THE FACT THAT YOU DO THIS!!!
