Good question, and yes I did most young people do, particularly when its an only child, and Imaginary is the word, a young mind can create something from nothingness.
This might be due to boredom or loneliness in the child wanting company.
There's also the theory that a Imaginary friend is also a spirit child thought this is debatable, but a child's mind is powerful, just look at poltergeist hunting's for proof of how powerful the mind truly is.

Yes, I was an only child, lived in the country, and a bit isolated. My imaginary twin sister and I had plenty of real animals around but not many humans.

I am 26 years old and still have imaginary friends. When I get lonely and scared I have to do something to take my mind off of it so I make an imaginary friend. They are cool and you can really freak someone out.

When I was an adolescent I had an imaginary friend who was a girl and dressed like Jeannie in I Dream Of Jeannie.

I wouldn't call it an imaginary animal because it is not. But my spirit animal has come to me quite often and is always around.

No. You would think I would, since I am the oldest and 8 years older than my little brother. Almost the same as being an only child during the ages that I should of had a good imagination. I guess we had enough neighborhood kids and friends to keep me occupied.

i'm kinda like that too. i'm sixteen, under no circumstances been kissed, or been in a relationship. i don't truly have imaginary associates or something yet I continuously think of approximately what my lifestyles would be like (say 10 years from now) if i grew to become into married to my dream guy. each and every so often I daydream approximately having a lot of associates and being in love. yet particular, that's somewhat risky. this style of situation could make somebody lose touch with fact.
