I'm a drum beat type. Phil Collin's "I Don't Care Anymore"! Great drum solo right in the beginning of the song! :)

Drum beat. Some guitar solos go on too long and get annoying.

Well,if you mean a terrific back-beat that stays with you,ok. But most of the time an extended guitar solo is more rewarding to sit and listen to. But you're right about getting through the day. The beat stays with you and the beat goes on.

Drum beats are my preference..the guitar comes a lot later. Rhythms are easier to remember then guitar licks. Dip, dip, click, click, tomtom, drum..twaaaaang! Er, its out of tune at the minute.

usually a good drum beat... but there are a few songs with guitar solos that I am just nuts about!

Pink Floyd (hubby's favorite group!) songs to name one!!

& Wayne Watson (my favorite!!) has a lot of his songs with guitar... because he will be playing that or the piano!

Give me Charlie Watts on the skins any day of the week, and bring in Keef & Ronnie to keep the beat moving.

regrettably i'm uncertain wht you're doing incorrect. I finished it on guitar and then I moved directly to bass employing the comparable band. After each and each gig I won many and it further directly to the money I won from guitar. I even have been given money from quickplay. in keeping with hazard attempt checking your settings out.
