Although, invoking Jesus, may seem fake, what better time to turn to Him? As they say, there are no Atheists in fox-holes.

With that stated, I don't believe Vick has a clue.

The most positive thing is that, if his attorneys didn't make a deal with the state, the guilty plea inference is admissible.

So when he gets out of the federal pen, he'll be going right back in to a state run facility, for another year or so.

If he is genuine in his apology, he's to be forgiven, but there are still consequences.

If you work hard in school, you get good grades, if you commit a bunch of felonies, you go to jail.

most folks would have no chance of landing a job, yet some expect use to give Vick him $130M. Why is he better than those who work hard not to lose their jobs each day.

I hear he can throw, so let him get a paper route. He'd do well!

I really don't care about his apology. He stood in front of a jury, the commisioner, and his fans and said, "No, I did not partake in any dogfighting. The stuff at my Virgina home isn't mine..."

As far as I'm concerned, Michael Vick needs not only serve the full 5 year jail sentence, but be suspended from the NFL for a minimum 5 years. Think about it, 10 years out of the league and no one wants an old running quarterback.

it felt sincere to me and everything. he needs to serve time for what he's done and do whatever is necessary. he also needs to search himself and make some changes in his life as well. i'm not going to say i can forget what happened but i can forgive. People make huge mistakes all the time and they don't get put out there like this. He f'd up we know that, but i'm not gonna sit here and judge him on whether his apology was sincere or not (there's only person who knows that & we aren't him). Everyone's made a mistake and people will continue too we are human beings...even sports stars, music artists and the like.

I thought there was sincerity in it. I think it was well reheased too. I was with him until he brought Jesus into it. I have never been a fan of the" apologizing doesn't fix the things you've done" idea. Of course it doesn't- in any case- does that mean you should never apologize for anything you do? Of course not. He took full responsiblity for both what he's done and his need to work on the quality of human being he is. It sounds like hes made a step towards being on the right track. I'm not sold, but I'm not writing him off either.

LAME LAME LAME. What he did, while not related to the NFL, put a bad light on the orginization. On the other hand, are five more fingers. He has done this all of his life and while he may be sincere, it does not change what he did. Regardless of the crime, they are all sorry after they get caught. Find Jesus and repnt before you get caught and I'll be impressed.

Too late for apology now. He is just trying to get into good graces with the NFL and judge. They all can see that he is not truthful.

Funny how they all find Jesus when they are about to lose it all. Desperate try ! Well he will be finding more than that...he will be having a reality check of how special he was as an athlete and how he should have appreciated what he had at the time when he loses most of it.......What an ego he had to think he was above the law itself.

I thought it was very sincere. When I first heard that he was going to give a statement, I didn't think that was a good idea. Knowing how people are going to try and tear him apart for it. But after I saw it in full, I completely think it's heartfelt and sincere. But only time will tell. I hope that he will think about what he needs to do and turn his life around.
Let God.

I think he will go to jail and have alot of time to think about the stupid thing that he has done, he has lost all his sponsors and alot of his fans but he should be able to play football in a couple of years. It is such a shame he is a tremendous athlete.
