as i recall reading, Guderian and others advised a further delay or even cancellation, since the newer Tigers and Panthers had 'teething' problems with their tracks, as well as the so-called Elephant, not having machine guns to fend off Russian infantry.

Marginally, the weather might have been better, but it would have been better for the Russians too.

By that point in the war, Russia had developed tanks that if not superior to the Panzer's, were less apt to break down, and able to manage to get around on terrain that bogged the German armor down.

The Russians were also at that point of the war, better organized, better armed, and manpower wise were far superior to the Wehrmacht.

Final analysis, it may have delayed the inevitable, but would not have altered it.
