I have had many afternoons when the wall comes chasing me down, but if you get in to a serious one to two hour a day workout schedule then you will have energy all day long. It might not be your thing to workout with the correct cardio the body needs, but you can do this many ways. You can play basketball one day, the next go swimming, the next go for a jog, the next lift some weights. It seriously helps. Also, sitting on the couch after work will for hours watching tv will just keep you in that tired frame of mind. Eat super light lunches, that way you can eat anything you want for dinner. Stay Active!!

Since it seems to come after lunch, it could be low blood sugar. Make sure you eat enough protein for lunch.
If you can, take a walk around your office. The movement may help you wake up. Splash cold water on your face.
Do you get enough sleep at night? I used to really fall asleep at work, but I didn't sleep enough at night!
I hate to suggest caffeine, but it does help keep you awake. Drink a cup of coffee or tea, or soda like Coke.

Well Lex, *chuckle* the answer is caffeine. Caffeine is a drug that helps you stay awake. Also, I've heard that Red Bull can be very effective in kicking drowsiness to the curb.

Well, You can train your body to be on a "schedule ", like lets say someone for work had to wake up at 5am every morning well after awhile they dont even need a alarm clock because there body is use to waking up at that time, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Try getting more sleep at night, and excercise more and eat right. I went through a period like that, but I started getting real active and taking care of myself better, and presto..no more sleepy head.

Your body is tired from digesting lunch. Happens to me too. I drink a half a cup of coffee or save my more interesting work for that time of day to keep me going.

do you drink coffee in the morning? you could be coming down from the caffeine. How are your sleeping habits at night... you could try a sleeping dr. and have them test to make sure you are getting a good night sleep.
