It's 11:35 PM here, and I've been waiting for a few hours for it, but there's still nothing. Nothing in the afternoon either. When will I be able to see it? Will it even be visible from the Middle East, UAE?

Salam, Love!

No, you will not see the August 28 eclipse. It happens during broad daylight in the Emirates. West of China, Burma and Assam, the moon doesn't come up until the eclipse has already ended.

But be patient. You WILL get to see the start of a partial lunar eclipse on February 21st. The eclipse that Thursday morning, February 21, 2008 starts just after 7:00 a.m. Emirates Time. You'll see the full moon as it heads rapidly down in the western sky, being eaten awar by the earth's shadow. The moon that morning in February sets, partially eclipsed, before totality arrives.

No, the eclipse will be visible only from America and Oceania, in the Middle East it will be daytime during the eclipse.

Sorry, no. By the time the eclipse occurs (i.e., the Moon enters the Earth's shadow), the U.A.E. will be well into the dayside of Earth. You don't get to see the eclipse this time, but I hope the full Moon was at least worth going to the trouble of having a look at it.

No. The eclipse won't happen for another ~12 hours. And by then, it will be quite bright in the UAE.

I don't believe so. Check out my post in a forum at the following link. It gives a good overview of times and locations you can see the eclipse.
