yeah, premature babies can have some weaknesses
but remember these weaknesses would always be internal, not outer, mostly these babies are smart and beautiful from outside.
They are generally stuborn and with low to middle heights. but they also can suffer from breathing problems.
Any more questions

My best's friend baby was born premature - on 6th month of pregnancy. He is 3 years old, nothing wrong with health just he has slower development that the other kids. He started to move legs, hands and body when he was nearly 9 months old, he walked at 2 and he still cant talk too much. But he is very vivid, full of appetite and playful. His concentration capabilities are higher than other kids which means that he can assemble without big effort difficult puzzle games, consisting of many small pieces.
Premature cases can be treated with great success though to high level information of paediatricians and advances in this sector. There are many specialties (experts on kids motion, experts on speaking) that can help a premature baby advance his development in a faster and quite satisfying way.

Well yea, premature babies, depending on how early they are can cause all sorts of developmental delays, however i have a nephew that was 2lbs at birth and only 31 weeks along, and is now one of the biggest 9 year olds you'd meet LOL!! and hes way ahead of his class. I myself had a premie who is a very very smart 4 year old. He knows much more than the average. BUT on the other end of things i use to do daycare for a lady who had a premie that was 4lbs at birth and hes very smart but hes very tiny. You just never know.

my brother was born almost 3 months premature, he was in the hospital the first three months of his life...growing up he was skinny but not unsually unhealthy, no he's a 6'4 200lb marine. with no porblems. some babies handle the effects better than others. but with the technology today they all have a much better chance than he had 30 yrs ago ...and he still made it through. but a premie could suffer high rates of respitory ailments, since their lungs are one of the last things to mature. it really depends on all the circumstances surrounding the birth and care give.

If they are born prior to 28 weeks they are at risk for permanent cognitive impairments and a variety of respitory isses such as asthma. After 28 weeks the chances for cognitive delays go way down, but there are still the health risks. Either way, the baby has to play catch up for awhile in their development for the first year.

Assuming nothing is wrong EXCEPT being preemie..
Babies born after 32 weeks may be a bit more frail and prone to infections, but generally by age five you can't tell the preemies from the other kids-they "catch up" as it were.
Before 32 weeks, it is hard to say-you get all over the spectrum from seriously disabled to just fine. The biggest 15 year old I know (not fat, just big), was born at 29 weeks.

I have a cousin who was born at 30 weeks. She stayed in the hospital for about 2 months and then she had to wear a heart monitor and an alarm would sound if her heart stopped beating. She's almost a year old now and seems to be developing just fine. She's super chubby and very cute:)

Ha ha! I was 4 pounds even, one- month preemie in '55. Spent the first month on Earth in an incubator. The nurses were very cute. The food wasn't so good, though. When I finally got home, I found out that there was an interloper- my big brother! Fortunately, we got along great for 22 years, then he bugged out for Heaven. Guess Earth wasn't his can of beans. I can't blame him, but it sure would be better if he'd stuck around! He's worth waiting for, though.

it's ok, iknow what u're goint thru. i also have a daugther who was a premiee. she'll be 1 on sept 1.she was 35wks old when she was born and stayed at the nicu for 1wk.she was 3lbs 14oz @ birth. she's doing great with no health problems. she goes for her high infant risk theraphy every3mtns. she's ok. as long as you take ur baby for he/her check-up you'll be fine.it's a blessing to have them even if they're tiny just belive in ur self that it'll be fine.some premiees are born fine and some r born with little problems, but nomatter what the problem is love ur baby and care for it . it was hard for me and my wife to see her @ the nicu but we were blessed to see her alive thats the most important thing. trust me i know they say men aren't supposed to get emotional but i did cause i know it was real the birth of my baby girl.good luck and be srong.

Depends how premature. There are a lot of factors for this. Too general of a question for me to answer.
