I have been on and off bc pills for a few years (mostly on lol). I took my last "blank" pill on 8-4-07. I have been having unprotected sex ever since then. I've heard that once you're on birth control that it may take a few months for the pill to "deactivate". I already have a child already but experianced no symptoms during the pregnancy. Now, I am concerned that I'm pregant. The only symptoms that I have had are mild nausea and heartburn, light cramping (which I heard can be normal), larger appetite, a tiny bit of soreness and some hardening in my breasts, and last night i got up and almost threw up. On top of that, my boyfriend was sick this weekend throwing up. He said that I was pregnant because the only time he gets sick like that is around girls that are pregnant. Today is ususally the day that I have my period and I did get it today but I'm not sure if I should still take a pregnancy test just to be sure or not. If so, do I need to wait until I'm off my period?

You can take one just to make sure, but probably not if you're having a regular period.

Not possible at all. I think a lot of women need to go back to highschool biology and learn about what a period really is. A period is the disposal of the unused egg and uterus lining, and that's it. If it's not those things coming out, then it's not a period, it's just bleeding. If the egg and/or lining came out when you were pregnant, it would be a miscarriage. About 20% of women report bleeding in the first trimester when pregnant, and about half end up miscarrying. I bled a lot, but had a healthy baby girl. It ended up that I had a condition that caused the bleeding.

Everone is different. I never got my period when I was pregnant, that's how I knew. BUT if you feel you are...go to a clinic or your dr. and get a blood test done. Probably more accurate than a urine test for you right now. Good luck.

well mellisa is kinda right. Its not really a"period" but resembles one. My mom had bleeding every month for 7 months when she was pregnant with my lil brother. It lasted only a day or two but the doctor said its normal and not that uncommon to bleed a little when your cycle would normally come if you werent prego.. So no its not a period but it might as well be...LOL

That Melissa girl is just flat out rude.. dont pay any attention to her hun.!
