I took a pregnancy test today and it showed two blue lines... but the blue line that was supposed to say I am pregnant was out of the little circle it was supposed to be in... I mean it was visible underneath the out side plastic of the test, I had to take it apart to see it... Does this still mean it was a positive? It is a K-Mart brand, American Fare Early Results test.

I am getting a blood test tomorrow... I just hate the anticipation and we have been trying for a while. I had a miscarriage in April and I read somewhere on the internet that the hCG levels are lower during the next pregnancy after a miscarriage... But it seems like the line was in the wrong place on the strip, like a manufacturer's mistake... if any of you have experienced this with a test please let me know and if it was infact a positive pregnancy.

When you take a hpt apart you can see that extra line because it's the strip of dye your urine flows across to make the test work. It does not indicate pregnancy.

Evaporation lines dont really appear until like 5 to 10 min after you take the test so it sounds like your pregnant, i would wait another day or two and take another test to be sure, and no tea doesnt contain hcg.

Since you are trying to conceive a child I am going to assume you are not financially strapped for cash and can afford to go buy a better brand of test. Try EPT or Clear Blue Easy etc. You can also get the digital ones that take the guess work out of it. Spring for a national name brand test just for your own peace of mind. I would say that the blue line would indicate you are pregnant, possible that the strip was just not placed properly. Good luck!

I had to use a digital to feel positive about the results. Those just say "pregnant" or "not pregnant"! You should get one of those! Good Luck!!

It sounds like you need to take another test. I did EPT with both of my pregnancy's and they worked great.

I would use a First Response test... I've never had any problems with them. Good luck!

That is weird. I would test again with a different brand.
