A lot of weird things have been happening to me lately. One example is when I was out to dinner with my parents, I asked them if it is worse to be blind or deaf. They said blind. 5 minutes later, a blind guy walked by our table, and he wasn't in the restaurant when I asked. I told my dad that someone we saw looked like an actor from a movie but it wasn't actually on. When I get home, I start flipping through the channels, and that movie was in with the actor. We were eating dinner, and the Yankees were playing and we were listening to it in the radio before we went into the restaurant. All of a sudden out of nowhere I say, "I know they just lost." I told my dad to look at his watch in case they did lose and see what time the game ended. I was right and one minute away.

I think it's antiquated psychology to dismiss everything. There are coincidences, depending on how you define it, but the subconscious uses picture logic, symbols and other sophisticated techniques to estimate occurances also. Keep an open mind. I try to find the most reasonable causes, but there are several new forces found in the atom and new laws of the univers all the time. The universe is very orderly as far as everything follows lawsk but there seems to be some randomness also. Don't let anyone put you into a mental box, what a dull life that is for dull people.

Some things could be pure coincidence. For example, had a blind man not been present after your question, there probably would have been little significance to it.

It's sort of like when you learn a new word, and all of a sudden it seems like everyone is using it. Well, in reality, the word was always being used; you just didn't notice it until now.

Because you're in the "Psychology" topic of Yahoo! Answers, I'll have to take this from scientific approach and tell you that it was likely just coincidence. You'll have many coincidences before you die; whether or not you choose to believe that they're of a higher meaning is up to you.

You need to read the book by Frank Joseph, called "There are no coincidences". Here's a link to it on Amazon.

A lot of people who are into "new age" stuff would say that you are getting ready to step into a new phase of your life, one in which you become more spiritual.
