No girl don't worry your little head. When I was pregnant I was told that if I didn't get heart burn my baby is going to come out bald and when I didn't get any heart burn I was worry that my son was going to be bald. But that old fools tale was just what it was a fools tale and my son came out with a head full of hair. In most cases, I have seen if this is your first baby he/she will come early or right on time but you never know. My son came 10 days early due to complications. You and your baby will be just fine. Good luck.

My goodness who the heck told you that? Bad advice!!!!!!!! The line has NOTHING to do with labor!!!!!!! It's just a darkening of the skin that SOME women get in pregnancy. Think about it...the women who don't get the lines...how do they go into labor??? LOL The person who told you this has no idea what they're talking about. Jeepers!!!
When in doubt ask your doctor about these things that people tell you. Or, get the book called "What to Expect When You're Expecting"...it goes through each and every week of your pregnancy, all the symptoms, and what to expect in labor, delivery, and afterwards. That way, you can just read FACTS written by women who have given birth. There are no "old wives tales" in this book.
Stay away from those who offer this "advice" for the rest of your pregnancy so you are not worrying for nothing. Or when they tell you something, just say "Oh really? Thanks for letting me know..." and then discard it.

No, don't be worried at all. That is an old wives tale to the fullest. Only about half of pregnant women get the dark line in the first place, so it's not going to be a good indicator of impending labor. If you are truely worried about this, talk with your ob/gyn or midwife, who will quickly rest your fears at ease by telling you that this is not an indicator of labor, as well as a quick pelvic check to ensure that you are not effaced or dialated.
If I were you, I would put the person who told me this on the "bad pregnancy advice" list, and inform him/her that this is simply not true. If it is someone you cannot be that blunt with, then simply put all future pregnancy advice from this person directly in the trash can.
There are a lot of bad rumors, and bad advice out there. Sometimes I think it was simply thought up by someone who likes to spook women during one of the most emotionally trying times in their lives.

An old wives' tale claims that if your linea negra runs only to your navel, you are carrying a girl; but if it goes all the way up to the xiphoid (bottom-most part of the center of your ribcage), it's a boy.
There is no way to prevent or erase the linea negra. However, if it bothers you, here's what you can do:
Reduce pigment changes by protecting yourself from the sun and avoiding bleaching products.
Get enough folic acid. Folic acid deficiency may increase skin discoloration.
If the line bothers you, try covering it up with some concealing makeup.
Your linea negra will lighten within several months of your baby's birth, but for some women, it never completely disappears

That is definately not true. Mine went to the top of my stomach fairly quickly and I continued past my due date. That's maybe just an old myth that someone heard and told to you. You have nothing to worry about even if the lines does get to the top of your belly. You have 3 months left and as long as you are not already having problems you probably don't have anything to worry about. Good luck.

Taking medicine once you should be pregnant while your rfile thinks you're no longer pregnant is truthfully stupid. you should bypass to a doctor (without your mom) and get a being pregnant blood attempt and tell your rfile what has been happening. i did no longer locate out i became pregnant til a splash over 4 months by using fact I have been advised i could no longer get pregnant ( wasn't ovulating) yet once you're feeling strikes then yeah i could bypass impressive away. i began out feeling the strikes in the previous i found out how far alongside i became. do exactly it now. averting it is going to make it worse and in case you have extreme blood stress it incredibly is risky for you and infant. Having extreme blood stress in being pregnant motives pre eclampsia and could reason loss of existence.

Those are old wives tales. But if you are worried ask you OB. Just remember everyone's body is different.
My mom told me that when you belly button pops out you are done and will be going in for my first child my belly button popped out and then completely disappeared I don't know what that meant but I was two weeks late.

I looked this up online I'm not really sure if it'll help or not.
Linea nigra (dark line on the belly). For many women, extra pigment (coloring) in the skin causes a dark line to appear, running from the navel to the pubic area. This line fades after delivery.
