I am 33 weeks and 2 days pregnant and up until about a month ago had a pretty good pregnancy.. Well since then I have been on bedrest for High Blood Pressure, and contractions. All of that was kind of under control, and then things took another turn. I am now vomiting, and I have diarrhea.. It all started Saturday night.. I went to the hospital yesterday and they couldnt find anything wrong with me.. So after sitting there for 10 hours they sent me home after giving me a shot of an antinasea medication.. It helped for the most part untill about 11 last night..Then my diarrhea started back and the vomiting.. I am trying to call the doctor and see if they can get me in today.. This really has me worried.. Please anybody if this has happened to you during pregnancy will you share with me what it turned out to be..

Pre-eclampsia was my thought, too. What is your blood pressure? Are your feet swollen? Have you been around anyone with the flu? If you still can go at this point of the day, don't call the OB, just go in there and tell them your sick, scared, and you need to see the doctor right away. Good luck to you.,

You need to eat some food to counter the diarrhea - try banana's and yogurt in small amounts maybe some block cheese, and take your prenatal vitamin (the iron in it will help) your body could just be fighting off some bug and is working hard to stop you from being hit with it full force

try not to stress, a few good anti nausea medicines are out there but i found an acid reducer (zantac or no name ranitidine tablets) work better in late pregnancy they lower the acid and thus alleviate nausea so much better than anything else i have tried even in early pregnancy morning sickness.

another thing you can do, try hanging out in your tub or a pool, the sensation of floating in water can help calm down nausea big time

Good luck hope everything is OK

I wouldn't worry too much, there is a possibity that you have all the sudden not agreeing with something that you are eating. (Mine happened when I had any type of milk product and normally have NO milk problems) I am only 10/11weeks along but was fine until about a week ago and started the vomiting. (Have been having diarrea since I got pregnant, doctor said it happens and to take Imodium AD). When I had my son who is now almost 8months old I was sick the whole time. So I am guessing that every pregnacy is different. Good luck and don't worry so much about it becuase pregnacy's are all different and being worried just makings things worse sometimes.

If you cant get in to the doctor, I would go back the hospital. This doesn't sound like something is right. When you get there, don't accept a "there's nothing wrong with you" answer.

er. some medical professionals should be kicked. but seriously.. you need to get into somewhere today. it could be toxemia, in which if it was... they should have picked up on that when you were in yesterday.

good luck. :)

I am not someone to advise running to the doctor for every trip to the toilet when pregnant.

However given your information, I suggest seeing a second doctor, or gonig to a different ER. To me, it sounds like it could either be just the hormones of later pregnancy, which can cause a relapse into morning sickness... or it might be the onset of preeclampsia or even premature labor.

Go back, insist on blood, urine and non stress tests and monitoring.

That would really concern me too. Are you going to labor and delivery, your ob's office or the emergency room? Maybe if you hit up all 3 of those places someone will take you a little more seriously! Good luck - I hope everything turns out ok.

Hopefully it is just hormones and nausea. Did the doctor test you for preclampsia? High blood pressure is one symptom. Are you swelling? Protien in your urine is one way of testing for it. I think you should go to your obgyn and have them take a look at you. It could just be a normal thing, but better safe than sorry! Good Luck!

Nausea ANYtime in pregnancy can be normal, whether you had early mornign sickness or not. Diarrhea can be caused by early labor. That combined with your blood pressure I woudl be concerned that ti was pre-eclampsia setting in and your body trying to say its time, even though it is still early. Be persistant that your doctor calls you back.

i was on bedrest for over half of my pregnancy. after 34 weeks you are considered full term. hang on a little longer eat cracker and ginger ale and get a lot of sleep and after 34 weeks take a small dose of castor oil and the baby will come and your other problems will go away

Never happened to me, but it might be due to your high blood pressure. Try eating some crackers, and peppermint candies....peppermint will help sooth the neausea. Lemonade helps too! Good luck, hope evrything goes well for you!
