From there you disable the guest account so that he can not get it using it. Also change the password for the "administrator" account. If he has your password, he probably also has that password. But be sure you will be able to remember that administrator password two years from now when the laptop breaks and you hqve to have that password to get in....

Turn off the guest account and also make your files private. To do this, go to control panel and choose user accounts and then turn off the guest account and also go under the options for your account and then choose to make files private. Also, dont make your password obvious. Make it something you can recall but itsnt obvious. Your moms name is a bad password. If you are sitting at your computer and see for example a papweight on the desk, make the password 'paperweight'. Its that easy.

Unfortunately, for the relatively computer savvy, bypassing the windows password is fairly easy.

To make it harder, you should restart the computer in "safe mode" by hitting the "F8" key a few times right before the "Windows" logo pops up during the boot process.

Once in safe mode, you are going to want to put a password on the "administrator" account, which by default does not have a password.

Depending on how he is doing it, this might solve the problem.

Turn off the guest account.

If he needs access, create an account for him that is limited.

If he's finding your online passwords, you may want to turn off the option to remember user names and passwords.

Firefox will actually display saved passwords in plain text if you know where to look.

remove the guest account on your computer. Make sure the administrative user has a password. Logoff when you're not using it.

If he has to use the computer, give him a username and password on yours. When you make his user, don't make him an administrative user

you can set up a BIOS-based password: when your computer starts up go into the ssettings (press F2 before windows) and you can set one there, Plus the one to get into windows.

If you need more security then you can always get a USB lock: and the computer will not work without it plugged in. There is also no way of cracking or copying such a key as it is all hard-wired into it, and unique.
