Violent? No. But the place is seriously making me depressed.
I switched to a better job in the same place 3 years ago, but although it's a much better job, it's still bleak. Maybe it's just a pipe-dream but I've always wanted to be a translator and I hear that English language tutors are in high demand in Japan, I'd have to learn Japanese (no easy task - I don't even know basic French) but if I can do it, then even at 36 years old there might still be a chance for me to get a dream-job.

Yes, I'm suffering right now. How do you make it go away? Thought I should get a new job, but apparently its an epidemic and I'll suffer just the same elsewhere.

Yes, I work about 8.5 hrs a day and can do my whole days work in about 2 hrs. so the rest of my day is spent reading the news, blogging and generally just dicking around on the internet.

Yes. That's why most of the time, I'm on here answering questions. Occasionally, I shop or read a book, but Y!A is way more interesting.
