I love all types of wine, but more specifically:
Red = Shiraz or Zinfandel
White = Sauvignon blanc
Rose = White zinfandel

well white wine is okay for a summers eve (esp in a spritzer) but otherwise i get a bit too tiddly on it!
Red wine is nixce with the right meal but sometimes are too 'heavy', nice on a winmters eve though.
Rose has to be the better choice, can be drunk with a verirty of dishes and nice on its own. The up in popularity has also increased the selection and this is porbably now what we droink most of.
As for grape though i wouldn't have a bleedin clue but i know we normally drink shiraz (is that a grape/ region.....?)

Rose first then probably white and red although wouldnt say no to any.
I prefer the various fruit wines, raspberry (which is red) being my most favourite but I also like rhubarb mmmmmmmmm.

Red. Try Sangre de Toro it's a nice red, not too expensive.

My fave is red. But then I don't mind rose every now and again either.
