We often talk about songs being over-covered, or being poorly covered. Have you ever imagined a particular artist covering a particular song?

I would love to hear Sarah McLachlan cover "Wrapped Around Your Finger" by The Police.

I think U2 can pull of doing a version of Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers.

I'd like to hear:

Type O Negative cover 'Possession' ~ Sarah McLachlan

Sarah McLachlan cover 'The Battle of Evermore' ~ Led Zep

Karen Matherson {or Capercaillie} do a Celtic cover of
'By the Light of the Magical Moon' ~ T.Rex

I've heard Stevie Nicks' version of Led Zep's 'Rock and Roll' at her concerts, but she no longer has the voice for it. If she'd done it in 1980, it would have been amazing!

socmum16 - Leave 'Edge of Seventeen' alone!!!
Alanis would ruin it. Did you not hear what Lindsey Lohan did to it?

I always thought that if they took creative license with it, but, as I'm sure they would, respected the original, Radiohead would do a pretty cool Christian Brothers by Elliott Smith.

I'd like to hear, maybe Built to Spill or somebody like that do Things Behind the Sun by Nick Drake. I think that tune could be really cool in a rock format.

WHY? leave the Police alone. Sarach McLachlan with Delerium maybe not by herself it would be mainly Piano and shallow, she has a beautiful voice, she is AMAZING on Piano, but that song would just sound off. It would be worse then Puff Daddy redoing "Every Breath you take"

How about remaking "Who's Gonna Drive you home" that would be fun if done by Cold Play.

For absolute hilarity, I strongly suggest Children of Bodom's cover of "Oops I did it again" to anybody who likes metal.

Personally, I'd love to hear COB cover Ace of Spades by Motorhead or Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden.

I've always wanted to hear rock versions of the musical themes from The Lord of the Rings... they're such awesome songs, and I know they'd sound fantastic on a guitar.

I'd loved it when Kenny Chesney sang Conway Twitty's song, "I'd Love To Lay You Down" when I was at one of his concerts.

I think George Strait would sing Lefty Frizzel's "I never go around mirrors" beautifully. It's such a lovely sad song, but no one hardly even knows of it anymore.

I'd would love if my favorite country singer, Hank Williams III would do a version of his grandfather's song "Alone and forsaken", that song brings tears to my eyes.
