EDIT:

Some of the answers are really making me laugh because I can tell how tongue in cheek they are (despite someones's shrewd observation that it is only a soap)

Seriously, he really has got the most irritating wee face that only his mother could love.

I believe the Coronation Street marketing department are in line to develop a stress busting toy for high powered executives.
Its called the Platt Slapper it's full of gel and it sits on your desk and when you get stressed you slap it around a little and you feel better.
I just think he is the nightmare that many parents have with their own teenagers, the stuff with Tracey was excellent,
Isn't he a brilliant character though, and so well acted.
I think his sister is good too Sarah really verbally slapped him in the kisser when she told Mel he was a psycho stalker.
Its poor Jason I feel sorry for having been propositioned by Gail to watch him then he could stay man I would've been out the door and up the road into Emmerdale rather than get that job, still it could've been worse she might have propositioned poor Jason in other ways.
David is very VERY menacing the roof scenes where quite staggering and all to wind up Jason OR WAS IT???
Paul an avid fan

I know most people`s first instinct would be to slap him. David is in major trouble psychologically and is really in need of professional help before he does something that will ruin his life and the lives of others. Where is Martin? David needs him and a Doctor. If you can see past the anger he really has a sweet wee face.

No. I don't think that I would ever get tired of doing that. I don't know how Gail puts up with him. Its bad enough watvhing him on TV let alone being in the sam house with him. It is bad enough being in the same house as my grandad and believe me I had taken a few swings at him to.

No I would not. In real life, the actor who is playing David, is totally opposite of his character. His last name is Shepherd and he is the second actor who is playing David. He loves to play "bad to the bone" David Platt.

I would do more than slap him! I want to punch his lights out every time I see his evil face!! Read in tv times (next week) that he shoots his mum with an air rifle!!!! Now that should be interesting .....

i'd never tire of slapping him although i'd have to slap him anywhere other than on his face as it looks too much like a badly used sponge and i don't think he'd feel it.

No I reckon he deserves a good kicking!! Gail should have walloped him with a slipper for all the grief he's put her through!
