Book - when I was young ANYTHING by Enid Blyton - used to plague the librarian for all the Blytons she could get her hands on - esp liked Five Camp on Mystery Moor
When I hit my teens I loved the Judy Blume books - they seemed so grown up and edgy!
Later my favourite was, and is, Little Women.
Film - Amazing Mr Blunden

Books
As a small child (6yrs) 'Rupert Bear'
As a teenager 'Redgauntlet' by Sir Walter Scott.
Films.
Action/Adventure
David Lean's 'Lawrence of Arabia' starring Peter O'Toole - the best ever.
Western
John Wayne 'True Grit'
Musical
'On the Town' Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly, Jules Munshin, Vera-Ellen, Betty Garrett.
Romance
'Breakfast at Tiffany's' Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard.
Cartoons
'Tom & Jerry'
Australian Action/Adventure
'Crocodile Dundee' The story line is thin - man meets girl; man against the odds; man gets girl - but there's plenty of philosophical moments along the way and the characters - what a crowd and I've been there and they exit for real in the Northern Territories.

Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was my favorite movie. It must have been the movie of the month on HBO for a while in the 70's because I remember seeing it over and over and we didn't have a VCR. I always looked forward to the the part where he bit off the daffodil tea cup. He made it look so yummy.
As far as the books, we had volumes of Disney books and that was all I read at home.

Hard to narrow to one. I used to love to watch The Neverending Story. I actually loved Anne of Green Gables, the movie series they used to show on PBS and the book.
Other books I loved were A Wrinkle in Time, The Pinballs, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing and Superfudge. Pretty much anything Judy Blume. Plus Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH.

As a young child, I loved the series by Laura Ingalls Wilder. As a teenager, it was & still is Gone With the Wind. The best book I've read lately is The Wedding, but I'm a cryer!

Really difficult just to choose one book. There was one by Enid Blighton called, I think, the Faraway Tree. Almost anything by Enid Blighton. Also the Anne books, Anne of Green Gables, etc.
I didn't get taken to the cinema much but saw a film version of The Railway Children on television which I loved.
And, yes, Peter Pan - children's theatre at Christmas.

Hello, skycat, me again. When I was a child I hardly ever went to the cinema, but I read just about every book in the children's section of the local library. I think my favourite really has to be any of the William books by Richmal Crompton.
