We didn't speak anymore after her boyfriend told her some lies about me. Before braking any contact she sent me a very nasty email, insulting me in every way possible (her bf told her that he asked me if i wanna have a one night stand with him and that i said yes - wich i didnt). Now she acts as if we have always been friends and nothing ever went wrong, but after meeting her once i realised what person she is, and that i don't want to be a friend of her's anymore, and that i was a fool by sharing my confessions with her. I really can't believe i used to think of her as my best friend. I don't know what i should do. Any advice?

You need to tell it like it is to your former best friend. Let her know that the lies that her boyfriend told her about you and the fact that she believed them really hurt you. Be open and honest about the situation. Stand your ground and don't be afraid to tell her the truth. Make sure that you give her an opportunity to explain herself. The fact that she sent you a nasty email, hasn't spoken to you for a year, then calls you out of the blue as if nothing happened shows that she was never your best friend to begin with. Once you say what you have to say to her, leave that girl alone. She was never there for you when you needed her and you don't deserve that kind of person in your life. You deserve a friend that values and appreciates your friendship. Good luck and you will feel much better once you say what you have to say to her.

You answered your own question: you said you don't want to be a friend of hers anymore. So, if you did want to be friends, I'd just go back to being friends and then let her bring up the 'breaking contact' and hear what she has to say. She may have realized the guy was a skunk but she was crazy in love with him at the time and couldn't face the truth or take your side.
It's all up to you. What do you want? You don't NEED to do anything.

Ignore her, she treated you like crap all because of a sleazy boy who i am thinking probably dumped her @$$ and now shes running back to you to so you can help her pick up the pieces, she isn't a very good friend, and if she has the chance she'll pick a guy over you and ruin you again. shes not worth it, just ignore her, remind her of all the nasty things that she said about you, you defiantly don't deserve this, no body dose, tell her to cut the crap and get lost.

DO NOT TAKE HER BACK. What probably happened is he dumped her, and now she wants to come running back to you. Remind that heffa of all the nasty things she has said to u, and let her know that it will NEVER ever be the same between the two of u. She chose a man over friendship, so now she has to suffer the consequences. Dont take her back.

Wow,this person has serious issues, and it has nothing to do with you.You should politely tell her too much has happened and you cannot resume contact, wish her well, and realize you can't fix the situation,it is not your fault. You do not owe a toxic person your friendship.Look at the book "Codependant No more",for some helpful information.

Just ignore her. Don't write or take her calls. If she doesn't get the message then tell her you would rather not be friends. I've had one of these so called friends and she sent me X-mas cards for 3 yrs before she got the message.

tell her what she did was wrong. that she is not a good friend for believing her bf instead of you whom you two were friends longer. she should have known how you are and what you would really say if her bf were to approach you the way he did. does she really expect things to go back the way they were after what she said and did t you?

Its your choice obviously. You could talk to her about it and tell her how what she said made you feel. This may be what you need to clear everything. ANd if you still feel the same way, just simply tell her, that she decided to choose a man over friendship and that its her lost!

maybe she's realised that her boyfriend lied and wants to make amends, although she's probably too embarassed to apologise so her way of doing so is acting normally.

my advice is that you should talk to her about how you felt when her boyfriend lied about you, and that if she wants to be friends she must understand how you felt.
