The reason I'm asking is because my boyfriend needs to go get them for me, because of other personal reasons [no way I could back out from them unless I confessed, and that'd defeat the purpose]. So, I need to know if a guy [18+] can purchase the morning after pill?

It says on the website that it's for women to pick up, but it says nothing about how men cannot buy it.

Thanks in advance!

Also, how much does it cost?

Esspecially in Massachusetts.

Thanks!

The federal law or rule or whatever is that you have to be at least 18 to buy it. That's it. There are no other gender-based rules or anything like that.

However, I would call ahead to the pharmacy and make sure that they have it first of all and that your bf can get it for you.

But theoretically, it shouldn't be a problem.

You should call the pharmacy.

Unfortunately, from what I'm told, women need to pick it up because often the healthcare provider will make the woman take it in front of them, so they won't take them to another person or stockpile them.

Couldn't you two just make an excuse to go out to the store to grab something for dinner or stop by the post office?

Also, please remember that the RU 486 pill needs to be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex.

Best of luck! I wish you both well!
