I'm with you ---- ALIENS - intense, non-stop (pausing just a moment to catch your breath), well written and directed. ALIENS it is!!
Though I do give credit to Die Hard as well.

sorry but alien is a science fiction movie a good 80 action movie to me was kill or be kill a karate film with james ryan best of the best and Rambo.

Die Hard gets my vote as well. Not only for the 80's, it's one of the best action flicks ever made.
