ESPN is offering the options on their poll:
Should Vick do more than a year
Less than a year
No jail time

If you are guilty of a felony - you MUST do time!

The options should have been:
Should Vick do the full 5 years
Between 18 months and 5 years
or one year.

None of this less than a year and no jail time crap!

The poll options are not severe enough to fit the crime or the actual sentencing guidelines. A felony involving cruel and violent behavior MUST include jail time - especially since it went on over many years.

Now they are asking if his suspension should run concurrent with his jail sentence instead of asking whether he should ever play again! It's starting to piss me off!

I agree. Tom Jackson is no B.S. He is the best they have.

It's out of ESPN's hands and their poll is meaningless. It's up to the Judge, Vick plead guilty, it's a done deal. Now all those millions Vick made playing football might go to defense lawyers, but if Michael Jackson can get away with child molestation and O.J. can kill his ex-wife and her lover then write a book about it, how much time to you really think Vick will do for killing a few pooches. This is America, and if you got enough $$$ you write your own laws.

ESPN has always been sympathetic to the athletes instead of the fans. They don't want to alienate any of their subjects even if it means alienating the fans. I can't believe they all ready to give Vick a break yesterday after he "apologized." I am so happy that Tom Jackson spoke up and told them that Vick needs to work on his image himself and it was going to take more than a 4:25 apology to make up for that garbage.

Maybe Tom Jackson should be in charge of ESPN's editorial and practices staff.

But I get really pissed off when I see these C*NTS Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie f*cking laughing in the legal systems face...almost making a mochary of it....serving 82 minutes....what a f*ckin joke! Those whores should be serving just as much time, if not more, than Michael Vick....I mean....dogs are cool and all...but I'm sorry...a human life is worth x10 more than some K9's....and these dumb c*nts were endagering the lives of HUMAN BEINGS....driving the wrong way down a busy expressway and under the influence of cocaine.......what a ******* JOKE! Hey....I'm caucasin...but african americans have a HUGE beef here.....this is directly related to race....sorry

It is an opinion pole, and thus all opinions should be represented. So ESPN wasn't "sticking up for Vick" they were just making sure all views were represented.

I am advocating no jail time. Dogs are not people, if Mr Vicks wants them to fight each other, thats just swell. Dog/Cock/Bull fighting is popular all over the world.

It's a poll question, ESPN is not advocating no jail time.

It is disgusting how they are easing up on him! By the time of sentencing, they might give him a medal!

A better question could be "Why are you jumping to the conclusion that offering options is the same as tacit acceptance!"
