about his actions?

I found it very interesting. He says he takes full responsibility for
his actions and blames nobody else for what he did. He apologizes to
the NFL commissioner, falcons organization including owner, gm,
coaches, and team mates. He also apologized to all the children that
looked up to him, that he has let down. He aknowleges that dog
fighting is very bad and now says he has rejected it.

He also says he has found Jesus and turned his life over to God.

He seems truly sorry for all this mess. Question is, is he sorry that
he did what he did, or is he sorry that he got caught?

Would he have stopped if he hadn't been caught? I don't think so. It's a tragic situation - the guy had the world on a string - but he really has no one to blame but himself. The real proof will come after his sentence is over. We'll see if there was real change or not.

You know he's only sorry that he got caught. It was just a week or so ago he was still claiming he had no knowledge of what was going on. Please.

I detest the "its not cheating if you dont get caught" philosophy and he's a living example of a person who attempted to live that philosophy.

Coming out and admitting the wrongdoing is the only possible recourse he has that might possibly wind up with him being able to play in the NFL again.

How does it take the threat of prison for you to realize that dog fighting is wrong? It makes me sick. I imagine he'll just pay a fine, but he needs to be locked up and sent to therapy.

Well, what your asking of Micheal Vick is something many of us couldn't do ourselves. How many times have any of us been truly sorry for something we had done until we were caught. Remember one fact of being sorry is a requirement of action on our part. Of course there are times in our lives where we feel sorry about something before we get caught and we change. However I would bet that their is no one who can say that change happened before they were caught every time.

I'm not willing to judge him because I can't ask something of him that I couldn't do myself.(Last statement was about principle im not saying I dogfight)

I don't believe he as sorry about his actions as he might be about getting caught. Where your money is also where your heart is. So, since he bankrolled the operation, I think it's safe to say he was pretty happy doing it.

Here's something to think about though: If he's doing it, do you think he's the only one? And can Mike Vick implicate someone else to gain leniency? How many people went to a dog fight with Mike Vick and are really really nervous now?

It's probably a little bit of both. When you have grown up being cruel to animals, I don't think that a person just get it all of a sudden. It takes a while for you to get the full realization that it is wrong. You may know in your head but not in your heart.
He may be at the beginning stages and I say that is a good thing. You have to start somewhere.

You know he's just sorry for being caught! Everyone is always sorry when the sh*t hits the fan, and they always seem to find Jesus... I don't buy his nor 99% of guilty peoples' apologies. You know if he hadn't been caught, he'd still be doing the same sick things with those poor animals.

Since he tried to dodge responsibility through the entire process up until he was so undeniably implicated, I would have to say he has only reached this new level of responsibility, enlightenment and reform because he has no alternative.
He is sorry because he got caught

No I didn't. I neither listen to or care what athletes have to say. They hold my attention about as much as country music which is none at all.

But with that said anyone who thinks fighting animals is a sport is a few french fries short a happy meal

No, because I don't think about Michael Vick.

He made some very poor choices and now has a felony conviction on his record.

He should now fade into obscurity and become Someone Who Used to be Famous.
