Michael Vick is my favorite quarter back; Although, He was part of Dog fights. I don't think he should have to spend time in jail, but I do think the people who were involved in the actual dog fights should. Vick should only have to pay a fine. What do you think?

Hell NO. Where are you getting the news? His lawyers did a great job of disguising the wording. But yet, everyone knows he contributed to the killing of the dogs. Just like him saying he didn't gamble.

If he does pay the fine, what did he learn about this whole ordeal? What are the other NFL players going to take from him just paying a fine?

People like you upset me. Since Michael Vick is your favorite Quarterback and probably many others he should not have to face Punishment......YOUR NUTS!

Vick should NEVER play Football again! What are your feelings on the many Dogs that will never Eat, Drink, Sleep, Play, Walk, Bark or Lick again. At least Vick is still alive to enjoy another day.

Since Vick's story aired there have been numerous Police Raids involving Dog Fights broad-casted all over the News. What a SICK act of Animal Cruelty. One story reported that Kittens were used as bait at one Fight. I strongly believe that ALL people participating in Dog Fighting need to be PUNISHED BY JAIL and not just Pay a Fine!

As for asking such a question, I hope one day you realize how Disturbing your thoughts truly are!

Vick was overrated as a QB. Even without all of his foreseeable crimes finally being prosecuted his play would have declined further this year.

As to being able to play again, I hope not. Vick and his whole family are despicable people. They all deserve to be in jail for years. Vick wanted to be a crime god father and now it will cost him his pro sports career.

Micheal Vick is a amazing quarterback to me as well but dogfighting has been known to be illegal for some time now. He being such a high profile football player he should have known better.I love football and wouldn't wish anyone not to be able to play but sometimes in life one messes up so bad it is better off if they didn't .

He WAS involved in the dog fights and ADMITTED to it!!!
He's going to play again...give it 2 years - someone is going to give him a shot - though it will likely be a poor team.
He needs to do some MAJOR apologizing and public relations work - when he is able to play again or is up for reconsideration there is going to be PETA and other organizations protesting...
If Romo doesn't work out in Dallas - Jones will take a chance on Vick.

I'm an Atlanta Falcons fan, and even I will tell you that he deserves time in prison. What he did was just plain stupid. He may have gotten a more raw deal than he would if he wasn't a celebrity, but when you're in the public eye, you simply gotta keep your hands totally clean!

Anyway, I really think he'll be able to play again. He'll get two years in jail tops. He'll still be young enough and in good enough physical condition to play on some team, but it won't be with the Falcons.

Well he should go to jail. I'd say eighteen months.

But yes he should be able to play football again, although I do not think that he will be able to get in as a starting quarterback. Maybe he will get back in as a third string wide receiver.

Unfortunately, he can be involved in something as deplorable as dog fighting, and even take the lives of several animals with his own hands, and still be able to play football.

However, if he gets knocked on the gambling charge, his football career is over.

Go figure...

the fact that he is famous should be irrelevant in determining his sentence. He admitted to several serious felony charges, and deserves a prison sentence as punishment.

As for playing in the NFL, it is a violation of the players code of conduct for him to have any association with the gambling community, even though gambling on dog fighting is not related to football. This is why he is currently suspended without pay from the NFL and since he has now officially and legally admitted to the charges, he should receive a lifetime ban according to NFL rules.

I think he should never be able to play football ever again. The baseball league would not let Pete Rose play or be in the Hall of Fame for betting. I think he should be made to give back his salary and just go away forever.
