Douching is about the worst thing you can do to your body. Theres absolutely no reason to, ever. Any OB will tell you that.

It totally messes up your pH which can take months to regulate, and it flushes out the good bacteria needed to keep your system balanced.

If your pH is messed up it will kill the sperm before it can reach the ovum.

No need to douche. Douching can cause imbalances by washing out even the "good" so don't bother although to answer your question, during ovulation, our bodies produce a different wetness so that sperm can travel much easier and you want to keep that if you are trying to get pregnant.

Douching isn't healthy - it disrupts the vagina's PH balance and is not necessary.

Just clean the outer labia w/ a gentle soap and use a hand held shower head to rinse well.

Regular douching is not recommended for women that aren't trying to conceive, let alone women who are. I'd hold off.

Don't do it. It can kill helpful bacteria and throw off the pH causing your vaginal area to be unfavorable to sperm.

I don't think that is a good idea. You should consult your doctor for further explanation.

i wouldn't recommend that. my ob/gyn said do not introduce anything to that area that does not need to be when you are ttc because that increases your risk of infections.
