I might have to go through the collection at home for some more.

NIN - The Hand That Feeds & Survivalism
Garbage - When I Grow Up - so disappointing after the killer debut album and good soundtrack contributions.
Ministry - Lay Lady Lay - bad cover song AND a terrible song period, Al was really hurting around the mid-90's. There was nobody named Bush in charge to motivate him.
Love & Rockets - So Alive - their most famous song was also a bad cover. The rest of their catalog is far better.
The Cure - Love Song - GAG ME!
Stabbing Westward - Shame - Never liked this song, yet everyone else did.
Filter - Take a Picture - This was shockingly weak. The Trent influence clearly wore off by 1999.

BuzzKill - That would certainly be the second worst Cure song and not by much. :-)

Sookie - Wow, you didn't like Pink Cellphone. I thought it was different, but mostly in a good way, very techno-like. Certainly a far cry from Adrenaline days.

Similar to a question i asked recently...
Although i used the word "worst" not "weakest".

Anyway lol..

My world - Guns N' Roses.
Although the only member of the band that was actually involved in the writing and making of the song was Axl Rose, and he was on magic mushrooms at the time, as it was on a GN'R album i guess I'll have to class it as a band song.

Also, You Ain't the First - Guns N' Roses.
I don't dislike it, but it's a weak song in terms of lyrics.

I love the rest.

RQ.

The Rolling Stones - Yesterday's Papers...my least favorite song of theirs...when it comes on the CD player, I always hit skip.

Led Zeppelin - D'yer Mak'er....the beat is just not what you'd expect from Zeppelin, sometimes that can be good but other times (like this time) it can be bad.

Neil Young - Southern Man...I love Neil, but being southern myself I just can't get into this song.

Bob Dylan - Thunder On The Mountain...personally, I think it's the worst from Modern Times but for some reason it's the most highly regarded from the CD.

Tom Petty - A Face In The Crowd...I like the lyrics, but I can't get into the tune.

Lou Reed - Caroline Says II....I LOVE the music and his voice in the song, but could his lyrics for it be any more obvious? "Why is that you beat me, it isn't any fun..." Really, Lou? Well, he was probably going for obvious but I like his other songs much better.

Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze, to me, is the most overrated Jimi song. Some of the lyrics I like, but I just could never get into the song.

Grateful Dead - Truckin'...I'm just not a fan of the music in this song. The lyrics are fine, but the beat gets on my nerves. They've done much better.

reminds me of a question I wanted to ask -- why do some of one's favorite bands sometimes throw 'noise' into the mix & this almost spoils the whole thing? -- 2 examples come to mind,
Yes: Into the Heart of the Sunrise -- Jon Anderson as usual great, melody etc., but then noisy electric stuff as refrain (as contrast?), goes on & on;
Jethro Tull: in Song from the Wood album -- 1 section, electric guitar like ambulance siren or something -- & incongruous, comp. to otherwise quasi-'Medieval' style.
skip these parts when I can, & I wonder 'What were these guys thinking?'

I think most of DKs songs (my favorite band) have umph to them, even if not all are my favorites...so I'd have to move on to my other favorite band and say "The Tourist" by Radiohead ... I sometimes don't have any patience to sit through it...as much as I adore Radiohead
