The cheapest way from Narita Airport to Tokyo is by train, at 1150 Japan Yen:
From Narita Airport station, take Keisei Line, and transfer at Nippori Station (15th stop, about 1hr 10 min).
At Nippori station, get on JR Yamanote line, Tokyo station is the 6th stop from Nippori.
Good luck and happy travels!

A local on the Keisei Narita line will set you back 1000 yen. If you spring for the Keisei Skyliner will save you about 25 minutes and cost 920 yen more. Therefore if you are not saddled with too much luggage and there is a local leaving soon, it's not worth waiting 20 minutes for a Skyliner if one has just left. Either way, the Keisei line will cost you less money than the Narita Express.

Train is cheaper than bus.
For example:
From Narita Airport to Shinjuku, Tokyo
Bus: 3,000yen
Train: 1,210yen at cheapest
From Narita Airport to Tokyo Station,
Bus: 3,000yen
Train: 1,100yen at cheapest
Basically it costs 3,000yen from Narita Airport to Tokyo by bus while it just costs 1,000yen to 1,500yen by train.

I once took the limousine bus from Narita to Tokyo for 3000 yen. Probably not cheapest but very convenient!

The subway can take you there, and the subway to another train station can get you there. I'm sorry, but I don't have a metro map in front of me so I can't tell you the specs, but take a look at the metro map and you'll find the lines you need to take. It's not too hard to figure out
Do not take a cab because that will definitely set you back about $140 USD. It's definitely a very expensive ride.

Bus or train. It all depends on where in Tokyo you are going, but it'll cost 2,000 yen.
