if you have a printer you can go to this site, and you will see a ring chart. if you do not have a printer you might hold a piece of paper next to their chart and make your own, it will give you a close idea.http://www.shavonne.com/rings/ringsizer.php

Hand size has almost no correlation to height. He needs to have his finger measured. I have seen men his height wear an 8 and men a foot shorter wear a 12. It is impossible to tell. Rings can be resized or ordered in the correct size (depending on the material) so just present him with the ring and let him go to the store to get measured afterwards.

To find your ring size, go to your nearest jewelry store and ask them to measure your finger. They have a special device to do this and most jewelers won't mind doing it for you.
