As long as you don't get called for spearing. But it isn't a good tackling method. You would have to be hunched over with your head down, so it wouldn't be very hard for a good ball carrier to shake you. Then you would be slamming your helmet into the turf.

all of the above, plus when you put a hit on the ball carrier youre suppose to lead with your face so that your neck snaps backward, never duck your head you will risk serious injury, and alwasy wrap up the ball carrier after a good hit because he could bounce right off of you and never arm tackle.

you are not supposed to lead with the helmet but sometimes the guy twists at the last second its a judgement call by the ref so be nice to him and youll get no calls

I'd be as bold to say that it's the stupidest way you could possibly tackle someone. You risk snapping your neck and paralyzing yourself... all just to tackle someone? Just lay 'em the f' out with your entire body.

its not illegal but its a good way to either break the persons ribs that ur tackling or its a good way to give yourself a concussion
