If anyones ever noticed while watching the fresh prince 2 different people play vivian and they dont even loko the same! and like first its one vivian then its the other then the other one comes back again! whats up with that?! why in the world would they switch on and off between 2 vivians that dont even look the same? First it was one vivian before she became pregnent then the other was the one that was pregnent and when the baby came the other one was back. i mean really! Anyone know why?

The original Vivian (Janet Hubert) never came back.She was on the show from 90-93 and Daphne Maxwell-Reid from 93-96.
The first Vivian (Janet Hubert) reportedly left the show due to a violation of contract that resulted when she became pregnant; the pregnancy and birth of Vivian's fictional child Nicky Banks was worked into the plot to accommodate the situation.
Apparently their were already problems between her and Will Smith and that was the "icing on the cake".
Daphne Maxwell-Reid played Vivian for the remaining three years of the series.

The first Vivian... Janet Hubert-Whitten left the show due to a contract dispute...
If you watch the first episode with the second Vivian... Daphne Reid... They acknowledge the change. Will is holding the baby and Jazz comes in and looks at Vivian and says... "Mrs. Banks. There's something different about you." and the camera goes to Will who just looks at the camera like, what can you do, she's different. It's hilarious.

Janet Hubert-Whitten potrayed the original Vivian Banks from 1990-1993, during that year, in 1993, Hubert-Whitten had caused problems for the entire cast, because of her pregnancy with her son, Elijah, so after she gave birth to her son, her character was written out of some episodes, but was eventually fired after the third season, and in the 1993-94 season, Daphne Maxwell Reid was her replacement until the series ended in 1996.

Well you have your answer, but, I liked the first Vivian and when the shows were originally airing I would not watch it after she left, Then I got really angry once they baby grew up. He went from 2mths to 6yrs in like 2 seasons. But I do watch all the episodes on nick at nite now.

The original Vivian violated her contract and became pregnant. They had to fire her and recast her with the new Vivian.
I personally like the original actress.
