If they mentioned they were taking a trip and you showed interest and they offered for you to ride wiht them...would you expect them to pay for everything?

I think it would be rude to assume they would pay for it....and I personally would not think that unless they OFFERED but I wonder if others feel their friends are obligated to throw their money their way...

I'd feel really guilty if they paid for everything, no matter what. If they wouldn't let me pay, I'd take them out to dinner, my treat.

Depends on how close of a friend they are.
No, I don't expect them to pay for everything, I'm not even saying that they have to pay anything for me. But, if you know I'm struggling, a little help would be nice.

I agree. I'd hope they'd pay for some things, but i wouldn't EXPECT them to do it. If they offered, I wouldn't be upset (:p), but i wouldn't say to them "Oh, you're paying, now that you have the money i'm freeloading..."

No I would insist that I pay my way.. just goodness from your own heart. I don't care if they have a billion dollars it wouldnt be right if they picked up the whole tab.

no but you know if they offered me some money I might take it, like in the end of Mr. Deeds he's offered money he says no, but then he does take some as a gift. im not talking about billions but if one of my friends won Powerball and offered me 50K id take it

i could never assume any income any respect. except, needless to say, it became owed to me. If I have been the only with the money, i could make a snug residing for me and mine first. Then i could help my kinfolk on issues that they are in a bind on.
