Today is a banner day for the worst questions and answers on this site . People foolishly arguing about how many people resigned during this administration or that administration . One guy who thinks it's 'hilarious' that our troops die in Iraq during their noble service to our country . Complaints and bashing abound . . . as always . A good percentage of Greece is on fire . People are dying left and right . The Midwest. . . that's right , THE MIDWEST of the United States Of America is devastated with flooding , trees down , houses and lifelong personal affects gone . Historic droughts of unheard of proportions still exist and continue in many states . And yet so many of you are willing to crush anyone who disagrees with you .
SHAME ON YOU . And just where the hell is your HEART ? Your SOUL ? Your DECENCY ? Your COMPASSION ?
YOUR HELP ?

How Much Of Your Time On Here Is Spent Looking For Solutions ?
And How Much Have You Let Anger And Hatred Block Your Rational Thought ?

Earnest, good grief. Allow those gloaters their pacifier for the week. We all know and can well anticipate what this forum is like when they think they have one 'upmanship' or have nailed this administration. Another two days and even they'll become bored with their own childishness.

Meanwhile, I'm going back to my paperwork. 300 Gonzalez posts and the anti-American ones are enough for a bit.

I got through reading the responses and couldn't remember the question. Was it about solutions, politics, compassion, rational thought, or ??? I had to come back to read it again.

There are so many other things that are happening around us that are uncontrollable. Someone may have started the fire in Greece by carelessness, we don't know. There are so many that are without their homes. The weather in the Midwest has moved so many out of their homes, ruined them, and some have had their homes looted after the water subsided. Don't know what they were stealing since the water was up over halfway on the walls.

I hoped to see rational people here with rational questions & answers. I find more people just pointing fingers and blasting names at the person who doesn't agree. There is no debate, it doesn't have to be a solution, but there is no logic behind the answer if it could really be called an answer. I tend to walk away from them.

Call your American Red Cross to see what you can do to help those in the drought and flood areas. They are usually first on site to any disaster whether it is weather, fire, or other to assist families.

Hmm, solutions?

Let's all get our a**es off the computer, and volunteer for whatever organization or projects float our boat. It doesn't matter what it is, or how someone else feels about it, if it is important to you, get involved. Want to feed the homeless? Go do it. Want to write letters for Amnesty International? Go do it. Want to mow the lawn for the neighbors because they are elderly? Then go do that.

And if I might just add in a most respectful manner, since I was born in the US, yes, I not only "think" I am an American of the US variety, I know I am. That does not, unfortunately, guarantee that I will have the proper IQ to be classed a genius. Nationality and IQ have not shown to be tied in any significant manner. I know people who are both American and have advanced degrees and they aren't exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer. They just took on more student loan debt than most other people.

Well, I grew up in Los Angeles and experienced fires, drought, earthquakes, floods, and the riots. There is always something going on somewhere and if I focused on all the bad and negative in this world, I would fall into a deep dark depression.

I come to this site for fun and to spout about topics I think are important. I hold each individual person in high respect and my answer to their q isn't a personal attack. Most libs that email me will get a genuine response and know that I'm on this site for fun. In real life I would be as crazy but you'd know I respect you as a person. Some libs just don't get it though and can't see past their hatred but instead try and place blame on me for whatever is their problem. That's fine and I just ignore those posters. Other libs that I've had fun emailing back and forth know that I might disagree but in reality I would probably get along with them in real life. Hmm, now that I think about it, it must be the moderates that I get along with. The extremists can't get past their own ego.

So my solution to life's problems? Well, it doesn't come from y/a. This forum is for fun, to learn, to educate, and to poke fun at. At least for me.

In real life, I volunteer my time and money to many things I think are worth while. I can't do it all but whatever God has placed on my heart is my responsibility and I'll be accountable for that.

You are right I think the biggest problem with the Congress right now is the Democrats are not looking to solutions to anything just a way to investigate and stymie the president. And the Republican leadership that was in power before was not intent on looking at the need to reduce the size of government and lower the costs.

African-American, Black American, Brown American who cares. Give it a rest. No matter how a person wants to be called. You're still of the black race.

Honestly dude...I think anyone looking for "real" solutions on YA is stretching reality just a bit too much.

Being American doesn't automatically qualify any one of us to somehow be magically gifted with solutions to the very real problems facing this country.

The floods here in Oklahoma are being handled by those agencies designed to handle them. YA isn't one of those agencies...nor was it ever intended to be.

This is a forum (albeit a silly one) where people express opinions...most of which have little or no basis in fact, but are nonetheless the valid opinion of the person espousing them.

You call today a banner day...but really...almost any day on YA is full of absurdities, meaness and every now and then some geniuine compassion.

Life exists outside of YA and thank goodness it does...

I doubt we could have one day where people all gave suggestions and didn't place blame on others.
but if anyone were willing to try to take on such an endeavor of being nice, productive, mature, and rational we should just plan a day and all ask questions about improving different things.
I'd be in for it.

Earnest...if you really want to find the solutions...I should advise you to leave Y!A. You can't honestly expect to find anything relatively intelligent here...can you?

I understand your feelings about all the above mentioned.

And the best way to help is to walk out the door....look around your neighborhood...find someone who needs a helping hand...and actually offer it.

It's the little things in life that are remembered....not the loudest nagging.

Leave those who cannot find it in there heart to reach out to someone to wallow in their own selfish world.

The only solutions that they have are to raise taxes and create bloated bureaucracies. Now they've hounded the Attorney General into resigning over NOTHING, and they're proud of it. I do hope that they realize that they have now set a new standard and, when it happens to them, don't be afreaid to remind them that they started it.
